Who do I call if the power goes out?
In the event of a power outage you should call ComEd. As your local delivery company, ComEd is still responsible for maintaining the lines and poles. So, if there is ever a disruption in your service, please contact ComEd directly to report the outage at 1-800-334-7661.

How many bills will I receive each month and who will they come from?
Champion - You will receive a single invoice every month from Champion Energy. This invoice will include the charges both from Champion for the energy supply and from ComEd for the delivery of the energy.

Spark – You will continue to receive a single invoice every month from ComEd which will include the Spark Energy charges.   You will continue to pay ComEd each month and then ComEd will submit payment to Spark.

Are green energy choices available?
Green Energy choices are in fact available. Champion’s “Green Power Energy” is generated using renewable energy sources including wind, solar energy, and biofuels. This product is available for a 12-month term at a slight premium.

How do I know I am getting a fair rate?
The rates from all suppliers that are available to ComEd customers are listed on the Citizen’s Utility Board (CUB) website. Click here to visit the Citizen's Utility Board website.

Why is this rate cheaper than ComEd’s?
ComEd's rates are easy to beat for the next couple of years because they reflect the above-market price of power contracts negotiated by the State of Illinois with Exelon Corp. (ComEd’s parent company) several years ago, when wholesale energy costs were higher.

How does Satori Energy get paid?
There are no out-of-pocket costs for you to participate in this offering. Satori Energy receives a commission from Champion or Spark which has already been built into the preferred partner promotional rate.

What do I need to sign up?

To sign up you will simply need a copy of your ComEd invoice. The person enrolling should be the accountholder on the ComEd account as personal information is required.

Why does it ask for my SSN?

Champion - Champion Energy requires your SSN to verify the accountholder and perform a quick credit check. In some instances Champion Energy may require certain users to put down a deposit before providing them with energy services.

Spark – no SSN is required.

What happens after my initial term ends?

When your contract expires, your service will not be terminated automatically. You will be notified 45 days prior to your contract expiring with the option to renew on another fixed-rate contract at current rates. If you choose not to renew, you will return to ComEd service.

What is the cancellation policy?
Champion - If for any reason you are not satisfied with your service and would like to cancel, you are allowed to do so at any time; however, you are subject to a termination fee equal to $10 for each month remaining on your contract term.

Spark – There are no termination penalties for the Spark Preferred 12 rate..
